                                                                                  GENERAL POOL GUIDELINES
  • If the cover is closed it doesn’t mean the pool is closed. The cover is operated by a key in the west bathroom.
  • Do not attempt to open the pool cover if there is water accumulated on top. Please wait until the water has been fully pumped off.
  • Do not walk, jump, or place heavy objects on the pool cover at any time.
  • If you notice that the cover is not functioning properly, please report the issue immediately. Do not try to force it open or closed, as this can cause further damage.
  • If you are the last to leave the pool at any time during the day, please close the cover. This keeps debris out of the pool and helps to maintain the chlorine level.
  • No running, horseplay or diving permitted in the pool area at any time.  If your friends are saying, "Hey, y'all watch this...." they probably shouldn't be doing it!  Let's keep things safe and fun for everyone.  In the case of an emergency, a pool phone is available for immediate use.
  • The pool is maintained by your neighbors; we don’t employ a cleaning service. If you generate large amounts of trash (pizza boxes etc.) please take it with you when you leave the pool.
  • Please don’t leave any diapers at the pool, the bathrooms get hot.
  • To keep the playground mulch out of the pool and the pool filtration system, have your kiddos wipe their feet on a towel before getting in the pool.
  • Lost and found items at the pool generally hang around for about a week. Missing goggles, hats, pool toys will often be on a chair near the bathroom.
  • First aid supplies are in the cabinet in the east bathroom.
  • There will be a posted list of neighbors with pool duty for each week. If you have a concern, let them know and we will get it resolved.

POND USE RULES

Picture
Winding Creek is home to several beautiful ponds that are available for the enjoyment of our homeowners and their guests.

To ensure these shared spaces remain safe, clean, and respectful to nearby residents, we ask that you follow the guidelines below:
  • Private Use Only: The ponds are for the exclusive use of Winding Creek residents and their guests. All guests must be accompanied by their host at all times.
  • Permitted Activities: Fishing is allowed as a relaxing way to enjoy the ponds. However, swimming, boating, and other water activities are strictly prohibited.
  • Catch and Release: All ponds operate under a strict catch-and-release policy. Please do not remove fish from the ponds.
  • Respect Property Boundaries: To maintain the privacy of homeowners living near the ponds, please avoid walking through private yards. Fishing is only permitted from designated common areas, typically the grassy space between property lines and the water’s edge.
  • No Fish Cleaning Onsite: Cleaning fish or leaving remains near the ponds is not allowed, as it can attract unwanted wildlife such as vultures, coyotes, and skunks.
  • Health Advisory: Because the ponds are fed by runoff from surrounding lawns, consuming fish from the ponds is not recommended for health reasons.
